The aphid pest

A threat without effective solutions

Many species of aphids are currently a major threat to crops, due to the lack of tools, effective protocols, and growing legislative restrictions on the use of phytosanitary products.

Who are the syrphids?

Specialized predators against aphids

From Biocom we provide top quality insects, advice and technical support to companies that wish to implement the syrphids within their protocols against aphids, both in greenhouse and outdoor crops.

How can they help you?

Syrphids, essential in preventive control

Syrphids stand out for their ease of application and installation in the crop in the absence of pest. In addition, their high flight capacity allows them to travel kilometers in search of emerging spots. This allows a very early control of the aphid, reducing the number of phytosanitary treatments.

In which crops are used?

In those with aphid problems

We develop application protocols in greenhouses and outdoors, with experience in more than 30 crops. Currently, hoverflies are applied in greenhouse and outdoor vegetables, citrus, fruit trees, ornamentals, berries and extensive crops, such as rapeseed. We work with organic and conventional producing companies.
